Family Literacy Day 2010
We celebrated Family Literacy day on January 24th at Kisiko Awasis School and January 27th at the Edson Public Library. Over 200 people turned out to help us celebrate and a great time was had by all. There were many door prizes, scavenger hunts, storytelling, sing-a-longs, free food and beverages. Each child left with a complimentary book.
Family literacy day is free to all with funds we have raised through fund raising activities such as scrabble night and generous donations provided by 
and other community members.
Thank you to Kisiko Awasis School, the Edson Public Library, and the Friendship Centre who all partnered with us to help make these celebrations such a great success. Thank you also to our hard working Literacy Committee who turned out to volunteer their time as well as cooking a great pot of chilli.
