Courses Winter/Spring 2012

This semester, the Edson and District Community Learning Society is pleased to offer a great many lifelong learning opportunities for residents of Edson and the surrounding district. Courses will be offered in the areas of first aid, and safety, computers and technology and language learning. There will be general interest courses like cooking, money management, and crafts and many opportunities to learn how to maximize your health and well being.

The staff in the Learning Centre will try their best to accommodate all your learning needs from literacy challenges to GED completion, apprenticeship and beyond. They will help you determine exactly which courses will lead you to your goals and draw up an individual learning plan. Tutorial support is available as well.

This year's theme for International Women's Day is Celebrate the Power of Women. Our guest speaker will be Kelly Falardeau. She is a terrific writer, a powerful speaker and a burn survivor. Don't forget to mark March 8th down on your calendar. This year our International Women's Day event will be at the new Galloway Museum. For more information call the Edson and District Community Learning Society at 780.723.6247.
