    Prerequisite: Windows skills or course

    Course objectives: What do spreadsheets do? Getting started with Excel, workbook basics, opening and saving a file, workbook navigation and selecting workbook areas. You will also cover entering and editing data, copying and moving entries, auto fill feature, inserting and deleting cells, columns, rows and worksheets, spell-check, formulas, formatting and printing.

    This course will give participants a better understanding of how to use a digital camera, exploring the many settings available on most digital cameras. Participants will also learn about basic rules of photo composition, digital file formats, printing images, preparing images for computer screen use and options available for photo manipulation.

    Bookkeeping Workshop (9 hours)

    This workshop is designed for people who have little or no bookkeeping experience. The course is perfect for you if you need to know the basics before you take computerized accounting software courses like ACCPAC Plus or Simply Accounting, or if you work in a small office and need to update your bookkeeping skills. Topics include: debits and credits, journal, general ledgers, accounts receivable and payable, and the posting process.

    Prerequisite: Basic bookkeeping knowledge required. Keyboarding skill of 25 w.p.m. recommended.

    This introductory course will cover topics such as setup, bills, and cheques, customers and invoicing, payroll, inventory, projects, bank reconciliation, and year end reporting. Learn to produce your monthly financial reports with just a few key strokes!
